Sending Invitations
There are two ways candidates can receive their interview invitation.
Automatic Invitations
If you've configured messages in the position's Invites & Reminders setup, WiseWay sends the invitation automatically using your chosen template and timing.
This is the recommended approach — it ensures every candidate is contacted promptly and consistently.
Manual Invitations
If the messages section is left empty (no templates configured), no automatic invitation is sent. Instead:
- Go to the candidate list for the position
- Click on the candidate
- Copy their personal interview link
- Send it via any channel you prefer — email, LinkedIn message, WhatsApp, etc.
Tips for Higher Completion Rates
- Quick warm-up call — a brief 1-minute call before the formal invitation dramatically increases completion rates
- Send your own email first — let candidates know the WiseWay invitation is coming so they don't ignore it
- Personalise templates — include the candidate's name, position title, and expected duration
- Use reminders — combine email and SMS for maximum reach (e.g. email invite + SMS reminder after 24 hours)
- Warn about spam filters — some email providers (Hotmail, Outlook) may filter automated emails — an SMS heads-up helps
