Custom Domain
By default, candidates access their interviews via a WiseWay URL. With a custom domain, you can use your own subdomain (e.g. interviews.yourcompany.com) for a fully branded experience.
Setup
- Choose a subdomain — e.g.
interviews.yourcompany.com - In WiseWay, go to Settings > Custom Domain and enter your chosen subdomain
- WiseWay will show you the DNS records you need to add
- Add the DNS records to your domain provider:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| CNAME | interviews | custom.wiseway.video |
- Wait for DNS propagation (typically 30 minutes, can take up to 48 hours)
- Once verified, WiseWay automatically provisions an SSL certificate
DNS Tips
- TTL: Set to 5–10 minutes if your provider allows it; 30 minutes is fine as a minimum
- Namecheap and similar providers may auto-append your root domain — only enter the subdomain prefix (e.g.
interviews, notinterviews.yourcompany.com) - If verification takes over 24 hours, double-check your DNS record configuration
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a root domain (e.g. yourcompany.com) instead of a subdomain?
No — only subdomains are supported. We recommend interviews.yourcompany.com or hire.yourcompany.com.
Can two different WiseWay accounts use the same subdomain?
No — each subdomain can only be connected to one WiseWay account. If you need multiple accounts, use different subdomains (e.g. interviews.company.com and hire.company.com).
What happens to existing interview links when I set up a custom domain? Existing links continue to work. New links will use your custom domain automatically.
